Oakdale School contacted us to review their existing EV charging infrastructure after experiencing ongoing problems with an older, unreliable charging unit already on site.
During our initial site visit, our engineer identified an existing Schneider EV charger had been installed. However, it became clear that the unit had never been fully operational since installation and had caused continual reliability and performance issues for the client. Despite the charger still being under warranty, Oakdale School had received little to no effective technical support, leaving them with a system that could not be relied upon.
Our proposed solution was to remove the faulty Schneider charger and replace it with a modern 7kW dual-socket VCHRGD unit, delivering improved reliability, enhanced functionality, and a sleek contemporary design better suited to the school environment.
As the charging facilities would be used by both visitors and staff members, we also implemented an integrated back-office management platform. This allows Oakdale School to easily monitor and manage the charge points, while applying separate tariffs for different user groups and maintaining greater control over usage and charging costs.
